HomeGrown™: Your Tomato Glut Doesn’t Have to Go to Waste

Every summer it’s the same story: the tomato plants go from bare to overwhelming in a couple of weeks, and one household can only eat so many before some end up in the compost.

HomeGrown gives that surplus somewhere to go. List your extra tomatoes, zucchini or whatever else got away from you this year, and a neighbour nearby can pick them up the same day, often before they’ve had time to spoil.

It works like Airbnb or Uber for garden produce: HomeGrown doesn’t grow or own anything itself, it just connects the person with too much to the person who wants it, direct, with local pickup or short local delivery only.

Running the platform costs something, so a small commission is taken when a trade actually happens, nothing upfront and no hidden fees. The rest is yours.

If your garden is outpacing your kitchen this season, put the extra to use instead of the bin.
